CERES5.00.36 - Replace Invalid Characters for Agency Express

Modified on Wed, 29 Mar, 2023 at 12:00 PM

Service Request or Support: N/A

Issue addressed: In certain situations characters that are invalid for transmission to Agency Express can be setup in Ceres.  Normally this happens when data is copied and pasted into Ceres from another source (Web Page, Email, etc.).  When Ceres encounters the invalid characters, the Agency Express OutBox will cease to process which causes a delay in syncing data to Agency Express.   The most common characters are embedded tabs, embedded carriage returns, embedded line feeds, and Spanish accents (e.g. á, é, í, ó, ú, ü, ñ)

This release does not present a change in system usage methodology.

Resolution: Ceres was enhanced to address the reported issue by replacing the invalid characters with valid characters prior to packaging the data for Agency Express.
