Ceres5.02.66 - Evaluate AE Survey ID and Responses for Invalid Characters

Modified on Wed, 31 May, 2023 at 1:09 PM

Service Request or Support Case: N/A

Issue addressed:  Responses from AE to a Survey ID with an embedded space causes the AE Web Service Submission call to fail.  Additionally, Questions that have invalid AE characters (e.g. &#$<>" ) do not get transmitted to AE correctly.

Objects Affected:

Type               ID                    Name

Table              14012365      Ceres Questionnaire Setup

Table              14012366      Ceres Question

Table              14012367      Ceres Answer

This release does not present a change in system usage methodology.

Resolution: A review of the code indicates that Ceres is stripping out the embedded spaces when parsing the Survey ID and removing the invalid AE characters from the Question codes.  With this release, Ceres has been enhanced to address the reported issue by presenting an error when a space is entered into the Code field of the Questionnaire Setup and when an invalid AE character is entered into the Report Text field of Ceres Questions.
