CERES5.02.04 - Lot Expire/Consume by Date Calc. for Inbound Documents

Modified on Tue, 11 Apr, 2023 at 9:38 AM

Service Request or Support:

Issues addressed:

1. When the “Posting Date” is changed on an Item Journal line, the “Lot Expiration Date” and “Lot

Consume by Date”, and “Ship by Date”) on the line are not being re-calculated.

2. When changing the “Posting Date” or “Shipment Date” on the Donation or Purchase order header,

the “Lot Expiration Date” and “Lot Consume By Date” on the Purchase Lines are not being

updated. Ceres asks the user if the dates should be updated but if the user indicated that they

should, the dates are not updated.

Objects Affected:

Type               ID        Name

Table              38        Purchase Header

Table              83        Item Journal Line

This release does not present a change in system usage methodology.

Resolution: Ceres was enhanced as indicated below.

1. Business logic was added to set the “Lot Expiration Date”, “Lot Consume by Date” and “Ship by

Date” when an Item No. is specified on the Item Journal line (provided, the related Item has the

applicable date calculations specified for the three fields). If the “Posting Date” is subsequently

changed, Ceres prompts the user as shown below to update the dates on the journal line as well

as the Lot card (if the Lot has been created).

2. Business logic was updated to properly maintain the “Lot Expiration Date” and “Lot Consume By

    Date” on the Purchase Lines.
