Service Request or Support Case:

Issue addressed: When the Consume by Date, Expiration Date, and/or Ship by Date have been calculated or manually entered on the Item Journal Line, Purchase Order Line, and/or Donation Order Line the Lot record should be updated to reflect the value on the unposted Journal Line or the Purchase Order Line, or Donation Order Line.

Objects Affected:

Table              39                    Purchase Line

Table              83                    Item Journal Line

This release presents a change in system usage methodology. The following procedure documents were updated accordingly.

  1. Item and Lot Ship By Date Consume by Date Expiration Date

Resolution: With this release, Ceres has been enhanced to address the reported issue by correcting discrepancies in the calculation of a Lot’s Expiration Date, Consume by Date and/or Ship by Date on the Item Journal Line, Purchase Order, and/or Donation Order.

The Lot Expiration Date, and/or Ship by Date are calculated using the Item’s Lot Expiration Date and/or Ship by Date calculation.  The Lot Consume by Date is calculated using the Lot Expiration Date and the Item’s Consume by Date calculation.

Both the Lot Expiration Date and Lot Consume by Date are calculated and auto-populated on the Purchase Order Line, and Donation Order Line when the Quantity is entered, and when the Lot is assigned on the Item Journal Line.   Whereas the Ship by Date is auto-populated on the Purchase Order Line and the Donation Order Line when the Item is entered.  When the Lot Expiration Date is updated manually, the Consume by Date will update automatically.  But when the Consume by Date is update manually, the Lot Expiration Date will not update automatically. Manual update the Lot Expiration Date, Lot Consume by Date, and Ship by Date will be updated on the Lot Card.
