CERES5.03.16 - Posting error after adjusting quantities for Kit Disassembly in BOM Journal

Modified on Wed, 5 Jun at 11:51 AM

Service Request or Support: N/A

Issue Addressed: Using the "Suggest Kit Disassembly" function in the BOM Journal to disassemble part of a kit, via adjusting or deleting quantities results in missing lot number error(s) and/or an unbalanced disassembly transaction.

Objects Affected:

Type               ID                    Name

Table              14012501      BOM Journal Line

Table              14012651      BOM Journal

This release presents a change in system usage methodology. The following procedure documents were updated accordingly.

1.         Advanced Kitting Overview

Resolution: Ceres was enhanced by modifying the BOM Journal Line table (Table 14012501), adding functionality to prohibit making changes to the Quantity field if the Entry Type on the BOM Journal Line is defined as ‘Disassembly’.  Additionally, control was added to prevent deletion of a BOM Journal line defined as ‘Disassembly’.  A ‘Delete Sugg. FB Kit Disassembly’ action was added in order to cancel a Kit Disassembly.
