Item Nutrition Overview

Purpose of this document

Item Nutrition is utilized to tracking nutritional information about an Item using the Healthy Eating Research (HER) methodology. This document describes the options available for Item Nutrition values and where the Item Nutrition values are available.

Ceres Object release 6.00.00 is required for the functionality described in this document.

Items

Items can be accessed by selecting “Search” from the Dynamics 365 Business Central Banner and entering “Items” in “Tell me what you want to do” then selecting “Items” from the results in the Go to Pages and Tasks section OR by selecting the “Items” menu action (if present) from your Role Center home page.

Select an Item from the List that displays.

Nutrition FastTab

The Nutrition FastTab is used for tracking nutritional information about an Item using the Healthy Eating Research (HER) methodology.

HER Rating: This field can be set to the HER Rating for the item.

Not Yet Ranked - color coded black (default value for all Items).

Choose Often – color coded green.

Choose Sometimes – color coded yellow.

Choose Rarely – color coded red.

Assorted, Not Ranked - color coded black.

Unranked – color coded black.

Non-food – color coded black.

HER Rating Date: This field can be set to the date of HER Rating and is optional.

Item Ledger Entries

The Item Ledger Entries page contains two HER Rating fields.

HER Rating: This field contains the HER Rating for the Item at the time the transaction was made.

NOTE: The HER Rating field may need to be added to the page via the Choose Columns page customization action.

Current HER Rating: This field contains the current HER Rating for the Item from the Item Card

Item Ledger Report View

The Item Ledger Report View List page contains two HER Rating fields.

HER Rating: This field contains the HER Rating for the Item at the time the transaction was made.

NOTE: The HER Rating field may need to be added to the page via the Choose Columns page customization action.

Current HER Rating: This field contains the current HER Rating for the Item from the Item Card.

Agency Express

The current HER Rating for the Item is included in the Item Master Information (e.g. ITM file) for Agency Express and is available for display on Agency Express 3. The values sent to Agency Express are:

Choose Often

Choose Sometimes

Choose Rarely

Assorted

Not Ranked

Unranked

Non-food

Orders/Invoices

Agency Order

The HER Rating for the Item selected is included on the Agency Order Line to indicate the nutritional rating of the Item selected.

Donation Order

The HER Rating for the Item selected is included on the Donation Order Line to indicate the nutritional rating of the Item selected.

Purchase Order

The HER Rating for the Item selected is included on the Purchase Order Line to indicate the nutritional rating of the Item selected.

Agency Order/Invoice Reports

The HER Rating for the Item is included on selected Agency Orders/Invoice reports and can be displayed by selecting the “Display Nutritional Information” option from the request page.

Agency Invoice (Report 14012524)

When printing the Agency Invoice, if the “Display Nutritional Information” option is selected on the report request page, the Nutritional Information will be displayed below the row for the Item.

Note: If there are multiple Items on the order with the same Item No. they will be grouped together, and the Nutrition Information will be displayed once at the bottom of the group of Items.

Ceres Agency Order (Report 14012525)

When printing the Ceres Agency Order, if the “Display Nutritional Information” option is selected on the report request page, the Nutritional Information will be displayed below the row for the Item.

Note: If there are multiple Items on the order with the same Item No. they will be grouped together, and the Nutrition Information will be displayed once at the bottom of the group of Items.        

Agency Invoice w/ Grant Detail (Report 14012533)

When printing the Agency Invoice w/ Grant Det., if the “Display Nutritional Information” option is selected on the report request page, the Nutritional Information will be displayed below the row for the Item.

Note: If there are multiple Items on the order with the same Item No. they will be grouped together, and the Nutrition Information will be displayed once at the bottom of the group of Items.

HER Rating Export

The HER Rating Export can be accessed by selecting “Search” from the Dynamics 365 Business Central Banner and entering “HER Rating Export” in “Tell me what you want to do” then selecting “HER Rating Export” from the results in the Go to Reports and Analysis section OR by selecting the “HER Rating Export” menu action (if present) from your Role Center home page.

The HER Rating Export contains the following fields:

                UNC Product Category Code

                Source No. (Vendor No., Donor No., or Agency No.)

                HER Rating (current rating from the Item Card)

                Gross Weight
