Service Request or Support: SR-0002702
Issue addressed: Base NAV provides the date compression utilities. While date compression is a valid NAV operation, its use should be restricted due to the possibility of unintended/undesirable data transformation.
For example, the date compression of Warehouse Entries can cause a mismatch among Pallet, Bin, and Warehouse Entry data.
As such, access to the date compression tasks shown below (previously available at: Departments à Administration à IT Administration à Data Deletion à Date Compression ) were removed from the Menu Suite.
Should a site wish to run date compression utilities, access to them is remains available via the Object Designer. As these utilities may still be run, the “Date Compr. Registers” link as shown below retained on the Menu Suite.
If assistance is desired in order to utilize the Date Compression utilities from the Object Designer, please contact your Ceres Solutions Center’s support desk.
