CERES5.00.09 - Donor, Vendor, Agency Name Validation

Issue addressed: When a Donor Name, Vendor Name, or Agency Name on a Donation Order, Purchase Order, or Agency Order is changed from the value provided by the Donor, Vendor or Agency number, Ceres attempts to select an existing Donor, Vendor, or Agency that matches the Name entered.  If a valid Donor, Vendor, or Agency is not found, Ceres prompts the user to create a new Donor, Vendor or Agency based upon the Name entered.   This feature does not allow the use of a generic Donor, Vendor, or Agency where the Food Bank can tailor the name based upon the transaction.

This release does not present a change in system usage methodology. 

Resolution: Ceres was enhanced to address the reported issue by adjusting the validation of the Donor, Vendor, or Agency name to allow the user to specify a Name that does not exist in Ceres.
